Shaun McClusky is a Tucson REALTOR® and local business owner. He ran a close but unsuccessful race for the Tucson City Council in 2009, and has stayed active in local politics, leading the effort to defeat Proposition 400 (the City’s sales tax increase) in 2010. Shaun has the practical experience, innovative ideas, and a vision for the future which our city desperately needs.
Here’s Shaun in his own words:
We all know about Tucson’s problems: an out of control budget, unfinished projects, and a regulatory climate that stifles small business growth. This election isn’t about Republicans. It’s not about Democrats. It’s about building a better Tucson.
I’m not a lawyer or a lobbyist. I’m not a career politician. I’m a small business owner with a passion for Tucson, our city and our people. I’m proud that my partners and I have built a thriving business in the middle of the worst recession since World War II. I’m proud of our employees, our clients and customers, and the relationships we’ve built. And I’m going to take that same focus on people and progress with me to City Hall.”
